Primarch Roboute Guilliman

Welcome back, lore-lovers! Today, we're diving into the epic saga of Primarch Roboute Guilliman, the Lord Commander of the Imperium and the shining beacon of hope in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Known for his unparalleled tactical genius and the founding of the Ultramarines, Guilliman embodies the ideal of leadership and duty. Join me as we explore his storied past, the challenges he faced, and his enduring legacy that shapes the Imperium to this day.

Primarch Roboute Guilliman

The Chronicle

Roboute Guilliman, primarch of the Ultramarines, was depicted in ancient Remembrancer sketches from the Great Crusade, his life well-documented compared to other primarchs. Like his brothers, Guilliman was created from the Emperor's genetic template, each primarch imbued with unique abilities. However, the Chaos Gods intervened, scattering the primarchs across the galaxy. Guilliman's capsule eventually landed on Macragge, a world on the Eastern Fringe that had maintained a relatively advanced society despite the ravages of the Age of Strife.

Macragge, though harsh, had preserved its industry and Warp-capable ships, allowing limited contact with neighboring systems during the turbulent Warp storms. When Guilliman's capsule was found by a group of hunting magnates, they immediately recognized it as advanced technology. Inside, they discovered a child surrounded by a glowing nimbus of power, and he was brought to Konor Guilliman, one of Macragge's ruling consuls. Konor, impressed by the child, adopted him and named him Roboute.

As Guilliman grew, his exceptional intellect and physical prowess became clear. By age ten, he had mastered every subject taught by Macragge's best tutors, displaying unparalleled insight into history, philosophy, and science. His memory was flawless, and his ability to draw accurate conclusions from limited information astounded his teachers. However, his greatest gift was in warfare, which Macragge's society viewed as a highly respected science.

Upon reaching adulthood, Guilliman was granted command of a military expedition to pacify Illyrium, a lawless northern region of Macragge filled with warring factions and mercenaries. He led a brilliant campaign, gaining both the submission and respect of Illyrium's warriors. Yet, upon his return to the capital, Macragge Civitas, he found the city in chaos. His foster father Konor had been betrayed by his co-consul Gallan, who, in alliance with discontented nobles, had staged a coup. Gallan resented Konor's reforms, which had improved the lives of the common people at the expense of the aristocracy, forcing them to invest in public infrastructure and raise living standards for their vassals.

Gallan's forces attacked the Senate House while Konor was inside, igniting widespread anarchy. By the time Guilliman and his army reached the city, it was burning, and the streets were overrun by mobs. Guilliman fought his way through the chaos, but arrived at the Senate House too late. The building was in ruins, and amidst the wreckage, he found Konor, gravely wounded but still directing the defense. In his final moments, Konor revealed Gallan's betrayal and the conspirators behind the coup.

Enraged by his foster father's death, Guilliman led a swift and brutal campaign to restore order. His forces crushed the rebels, executed Gallan and his co-conspirators, and hanged the rioters. Guilliman then assumed sole leadership of Macragge, dismantling the aristocratic regime that had opposed Konor's reforms. The rebels' lands and titles were seized, and the surviving conspirators were condemned to rebuild the city they had destroyed.

With Guilliman in control, Macragge underwent a radical transformation. He established a meritocracy, where individuals were rewarded based on their abilities and loyalty rather than noble birth. The economy was restructured, and advanced technology was shared widely, no longer hoarded by the elite. The military was modernized and expanded, making Macragge a powerful force in the galaxy. Under Guilliman's rule, the planet flourished, unified under his just but iron-fisted leadership.

During the time Roboute Guilliman was engaged in the pacification of Illyria, the Emperor of Mankind's Great Crusade reached the planet Espandor. There, the Emperor learned of Macragge and its remarkable ruler, Roboute Guilliman, a child of extraordinary abilities who could only be one of His lost primarchs. Some suggest the Emperor's arrival was no accident, but guided by knowledge of what He would find.

The Emperror's Son

As the Emperor moved toward Macragge, violent Warp storms thwarted His fleet, preventing contact for five years. During this time, Macragge underwent significant transformation under Guilliman's leadership. The planet became a model of order and prosperity, with flourishing cities, advanced armies, and even interstellar trade routes. Guilliman had studied ancient histories and envisioned a domain beyond Macragge--a realm he called "Ultramar."

When the Emperor finally arrived in 837.M30, He was impressed by Guilliman's accomplishments. Unlike with other primarchs, such as Leman Russ or Mortarion, the Emperor greeted Guilliman with trust. Upon learning his true origins, Guilliman swore immediate fealty to the Emperor, understanding he was created for a grand purpose. His extraordinary intelligence and ability to organize were quickly recognized.

Guilliman was soon given command of the XIII Legion, the Ultramarines, and he immediately set about transforming them. To Guilliman, a Legion was not just soldiers but an entire system: logistics, starships, munitions, and recruits, all working in harmony. He intended Ultramar to be more than just a homeworld--it was the center of a vast network, with Macragge as its fulcrum.

This was the beginning of Guilliman's "Realm of Ultramar," a project that would span decades. He reorganized the XIII Legion with meticulous care, blending the martial virtues of courage and adaptability with strategic planning and analysis. His reforms created a meritocratic, disciplined force that prized individual achievement yet demanded absolute loyalty to the greater whole.

The Ultramarines adopted a new livery of deep blue and gold, with the Ultima symbol as their icon. Under Guilliman's leadership, they vowed to push the Great Crusade even beyond the stars to ensure its success. His vision for Ultramar and the Legion was one of relentless expansion, conquest, and order, all in service of the Emperor's grand design for humanity.

As the Emperor entrusted Roboute Guilliman with command of the 12th Expeditionary Fleet, he wasted no time in expanding the Imperium's reach. With Macragge as his new base of operations, the freshly named Ultramarines set out to conquer and bring countless worlds into Imperial Compliance. Guilliman wasn't content with just winning battles--each planet he brought under the Emperor's banner was fortified, its government organized with precision. His gift for efficient administration turned the Ultramarines' conquests into lasting Imperial strongholds, spreading civilization as much as war.

While the fleet's victories multiplied, so did the Ultramarines' numbers. Their gene-seed was remarkably resilient, and under Guilliman's watch, their ranks swelled to unprecedented size. Recruits flowed in not only from Macragge but from every world Guilliman liberated, all carefully selected through a strict meritocratic process. Guilliman's strategic brilliance and the sheer size of his Legion meant that wherever the Ultramarines fought, they struck with overwhelming force, often suffering fewer casualties than their peers.

By the time Horus was appointed Warmaster, the Ultramarines had become the largest Space Marine Legion in the Imperium, their fleet too vast to remain a single entity. Guilliman divided them into smaller fleets, each capable of operating independently across the far reaches of the galaxy. With over 250,000 Astartes under his command, the XIII Legion stood as an unstoppable force--a power that, by the time of the Heresy, made them a threat the traitors couldn't ignore.

Yet, for all their successes, a dark memory haunted the Ultramarines: their defeat in the Osiris Cluster years before. Guilliman, ever the strategist, had long planned vengeance. His chance came at Eurydice Terminal, where a deadly xenos race, the Psybrids, resurfaced. In a brutal voidship boarding action, Guilliman and his Ultramarines struck the Psybrids with ferocious precision. Leading from the front, Guilliman confronted the Psybrid leader, a massive, psychically powerful creature. With the aid of his chief psyker, Aaroth Ptolemy, who sacrificed his life in the battle, Guilliman crushed the alien threat, avenging the Legion's past failure.

Though the battle was costly, with thousands of Ultramarines lost, Guilliman's victory restored his Legion's honor. It was a reminder that the Ultramarines would pay any price for victory, and under their primarch's guidance, they were ready for the trials yet to come.

The Heresy

When Warmaster Horus betrayed the Imperium, his first act was to draw Loyalist Legions away from Terra. He ordered Roboute Guilliman to lead an expedition to Calth in the Veridian System, claiming a massive Ork WAAAGH! was forming there. Unbeknownst to Guilliman, the Word Bearers, now loyal to Chaos under Primarch Lorgar, were poised to ambush the Ultramarines.

The Word Bearers' surprise attack devastated Guilliman's fleet, and the Ultramarines were forced into a fighting retreat. Despite the initial losses, many Ultramarines fought fiercely for their homeworld, leading to a protracted struggle. Guilliman managed to regroup and send a distress call to Macragge while his remaining forces took up fortified positions.

As the battle raged on Calth, the Word Bearers used orbital platforms to destabilize the star, causing irreparable damage to the planet. Guilliman's forces executed coordinated hit-and-run attacks, eventually slowing the Word Bearers long enough for reinforcements to arrive. However, the battle left Calth uninhabitable, and the Ruinstorm was summoned to isolate Ultramar from the rest of the galaxy.

In the aftermath, Lorgar allied with Angron and the World Eaters, launching a Shadow Crusade against Ultramar's worlds, devastating 26 of them. Guilliman tracked the Traitors to Angron's homeworld, Nuceria, where a fierce battle ensued. As the Ultramarines engaged in a desperate fight against their once-allied brothers, Guilliman confronted Lorgar and later Angron.

Their battle was fierce, with Guilliman initially holding his ground against both Traitor primarchs. However, Lorgar's sorcery transformed Angron into a Daemon Prince, shifting the tide of battle. Guilliman managed to retreat but not without the scars of defeat, witnessing the horrific transformations of his brothers.

Isolated by the Ruinstorm, Guilliman feared for humanity's future and established Imperium Secundus to safeguard the ideals of the Great Crusade. He initially sought to make Lion El'Jonson its leader but ultimately named Sanguinius the Regent. Tensions arose between Guilliman and El'Jonson over how to handle rebellions and the threat of Konrad Curze, leading to conflict within their ranks as they struggled to maintain order amid chaos.

In the wake of the Ruinstorm, unleashed by the treacherous Word Bearers after the Battle of Calth, Roboute Guilliman faced a dire threat to the unity of humanity. Cut off from Terra and uncertain of the Emperor's fate, he sought to preserve the ideals of the Great Crusade by establishing a second interstellar empire: Imperium Secundus. This decision would haunt him as one of his greatest mistakes.

Using the ancient xenos device known as the Pharos, located on the world of Sotha, many Loyalist Space Marines were guided to Macragge. Though wary of appearing power-hungry like his brother Horus, Guilliman initially sought to persuade Lion El'Jonson of the Dark Angels to lead Imperium Secundus, but their growing distrust hindered this plan.

Imperium Secundus

As the formation of Imperium Secundus unfolded, an assassination attempt by the Alpha Legion almost claimed Guilliman's life. When the Night Lords' Primarch, Konrad Curze, was unleashed upon Macragge, a battle ensued, culminating in a near-catastrophic trap that only the intervention of Iron Warrior Barabas Dantioch could avert. He activated the Pharos, teleporting Guilliman and El'Jonson to safety.

Upon returning to Macragge, Guilliman named Sanguinius the reluctant Regent of Imperium Secundus, to avoid any claims of emperorship. However, tensions flared between him and El'Jonson, especially over how to deal with Curze and the rebellions that plagued their world. The Lion's insistence on martial law clashed with Guilliman's resistance, leading to a significant fallout.

After a devastating suicide bombing, El'Jonson bypassed Guilliman's authority, declaring martial law. As chaos erupted in the Illyrium region, the Dark Angels' Primarch sought to use mass destruction against the rebels, only for Guilliman to propose a more humane solution. The resulting conflict culminated in Curze's capture and a public trial, where shocking revelations about El'Jonson's secret actions ignited further conflict.

Ultimately, in a bid to save face and uphold Imperial values, Guilliman and Sanguinius dismissed El'Jonson and the Dark Angels from Imperium Secundus. Yet, the Lion later sought redemption, offering himself as Curze's jailer.

After the trial, the leaders of Imperium Secundus realized their errors and aimed to breach the Ruinstorm to aid the Emperor on Terra. As they navigated the chaos, they encountered new horrors, including the ominous entity known as the "Pilgrim." During an ambush by Traitor forces, Guilliman survived an assassination attempt but chose to study the Chaos blades used by the attackers.

During the Battle of Pyrrhan, Sanguinius had a vision revealing that their true goal was Davin, the world where the Horus Heresy had begun. Despite initial skepticism, both Guilliman and El'Jonson reluctantly trusted Sanguinius, who took Curze aboard his flagship to exploit the Night Haunter's psychic abilities.

A mass landing on Davin commenced, with Sanguinius striving to avoid betrayal by the Dark Angels' Primarch. The gravity of the situation dawned on El'Jonson, and he and Guilliman recognized the manipulation at play. In a bold move, Guilliman destroyed the Athames, rejecting Chaos's temptations.

On Davin, a fierce battle erupted as Sanguinius fought a daemon while Guilliman and El'Jonson attempted to rescue him. Their combined forces finally put aside differences and united against a common enemy, culminating in a hard-fought victory that saw Davin obliterated. With the destruction of Davin, a path through the Ruinstorm to Terra was revealed, but it was heavily guarded by Traitor fleets.

SECOND PART OF THE VIDEO

Opening

Welcome back, lore-lovers! Today, we're diving into the epic saga of Primarch Roboute Guilliman, the Lord Commander of the Imperium and the shining beacon of hope in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This video comes as a second part of Guilliman's story, and now our primarch finds himself on Davin, where a fierce battle erupted as Sanguinius fought a daemon while Guilliman and El'Jonson attempted to rescue him. Their combined forces finally put aside differences and united against a common enemy, culminating in a hard-fought victory that saw Davin obliterated. With the destruction of Davin, a path through the Ruinstorm to Terra was revealed, but it was heavily guarded by Traitor fleets.

Guilliman and El'Jonson decided their forces would engage the Traitors while Sanguinius and the Blood Angels made a direct run for Terra, as foretold in Sanguinius' visions. Their strategy paid off, allowing the Blood Angels to reach the Throneworld as the Ruinstorm began to recede.

As the Ultramarines advanced towards Terra, they faced the Iron Warriors in grueling battles, incurring heavy losses yet pressing forward. Guilliman's forces finally approached the Imperial Palace, but he arrived too late to prevent the culmination of the Siege of Terra.

The long years of the Horus Heresy had taken their toll. The Traitor Legions, commanded by Horus, launched a devastating assault on the Imperial Palace, believing they had neutralized many Loyalist forces. Yet, the steadfast defense held long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

In orbit, Horus received dire news: the Ultramarines, Dark Angels, and Space Wolves were mere hours away. Faced with the impending arrival of Loyalist reinforcements, Horus made a fateful decision. Lowering the shields of his flagship, he allowed the Emperor and his allies to board and ultimately slay him, thus ending the Heresy.

The Emperor, gravely wounded, was interred within the Golden Throne, leaving the Imperium in disarray. The Ultramarines arrived too late to witness Horus's defeat, but Guilliman refused to allow the Imperium to fall. He dispatched forces across the galaxy to quell invasions and unrest, determined to restore order as other Loyalist factions regrouped.

In the aftermath of the Heresy, the Loyalist Legions faced significant losses, with only a fraction remaining. Guilliman, taking charge of the Council of Terra, established the Lord Commander of the Imperium to navigate the chaos.

His reforms were crucial. He transformed the Astartes into Chapters of one thousand warriors, dispersing the original Legions into smaller entities to prevent the concentration of power. This led to the creation of the Codex Astartes, a military doctrine that reshaped the Space Marine Chapters and reinforced the Imperium's military structure.

The Second Founding occurred seven years after Horus's death, creating numerous Successor Chapters, particularly from the Ultramarines, who became the "Primogenitors" of new Chapters. Their legacy endured, with Guilliman venerated as their founding father.

For a century following the Second Founding, Guilliman led the Ultramarines and confronted the remnants of Chaos. He faced Alpharius of the Alpha Legion on Eskrador, successfully killing him, yet the Alpha Legion endured, showcasing their resilience.

During this time, Guilliman commissioned Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl to develop a means to resurrect him and to create the Primaris Space Marines, enhancing the Emperor's original design.

Guilliman met his fate at the Battle of Thessala in 121.M31, gravely wounded by the Daemon Primarch Fulgrim. Fatally poisoned, he was returned to Macragge and placed in a stasis field, where he has remained for ten millennia.

The Temple of Correction, located within the Fortress of Hera on Macragge, became the shrine of Guilliman, attracting millions of pilgrims. Its grandeur showcased the Ultramarines' architectural prowess, designed by Guilliman himself.

Guilliman's body lay preserved in a stasis field, untouched by time, with legends claiming that his wounds showed signs of healing. Despite scientific skepticism, many believed in the miracle of his preservation, perpetuating his legacy across generations.

For ten millennia, the Emperor of Mankind has remained immobile on the Golden Throne of Terra, his once-great form reduced to a mere husk. Though His vision, the Imperium of Man, persists, it languishes under despair and suspicion, beleaguered by heretics, witches, and aliens. The Imperium survives only through the countless sacrifices of its citizens.

The Imperium in danger

As the 41st Millennium wanes, the Imperium faces its gravest challenge yet. Orks ravage the galaxy, the T'au Empire encroaches in the East, Tyranids swarm from the void, and Necrons awaken to reclaim their domains. Yet, more perilous than any, the forces of Chaos initiate a monumental invasion.

Under Abaddon the Despoiler's command, the 13th Black Crusade engulfs countless worlds in darkness, while violent Warp Storms rend the galaxy. The High Lords of Terra, blind to the reality, send billions to their doom in a desperate attempt to salvage the Imperium.

In this dark hour, it is the Aeldari who perceive what the Imperium lacks: a hero, a manifestation of the Emperor's will--a primarch.

Amidst this turmoil, the Living Saint, Celestine, leads the Cadian Shock Trooper regiments in defending Kasr Kraf on Cadia, the lone bastion against the Chaos onslaught.

Cadia, positioned at the Cadian Gate--the only stable exit from the Eye of Terror--stands resolute against overwhelming odds. The Imperial defenders, led by Lord Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed, mount a valiant defense. Heroes from across the Imperium rally to Cadia's cause, including the Black Templars under Marshal Marius Amalrich and the Imperial Fists led by Captain Tor Garadon.

As despair mounts, Celestine arrives, her miracles igniting hope among the weary defenders. Meanwhile, Inquisitor Katarinya Greyfax, recently freed from Necron captivity, adds her strength to the effort.

The key to victory lies with Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl, who, guided by the Harlequin Sylandri Veilwalker, unlocks the secrets of the ancient Necron-built black pylons that dot Cadia's surface. Abaddon seeks to destroy these structures, which weaken the barrier between reality and the Immaterium. Cawl envisions a chance to close the Eye of Terror forever, but fate proves cruel.

Despite their valiant efforts, the defenders are overwhelmed, and Cadia is shattered. As Chaos floods the world, a rift in the Warp expands, marking the end of Cadia.

However, a sliver of hope remains. Cawl's ancient pact, alongside a mysterious artifact he possesses, could turn the tide. The surviving Imperials, calling themselves the Celestinian Crusade in honor of Celestine, flee to the Macragge System, pursued by the forces of Chaos.

At the same time, the Aeldari are shaken by a cosmic upheaval as Ynnead, their god of the dead, awakens partially. Yvraine, the Daughter of Shades, becomes His prophet after a remarkable resurrection. Escaping from the Dark City of Commorragh, she brings news of Ynnead's awakening to Craftworld Biel-Tan.

Yvraine's followers, the Ynnari, believe in a cycle of death and rebirth as their salvation. Driven by desperation, Yvraine leads her forces to Klaysius, a moon in the Cadia System, arriving just in time to aid the Celestinian Crusade against the Black Legion.

As the 41st Millennium nears its end, Ultramar is beset by foes: Tyranids, Orks, and the dark forces of Chaos led by the Daemon Prince M'kar. The Ultramarines, under Marneus Calgar, confront these threats with steadfast resolve, driving the Chaos forces away.

In the wake of Cadia's fall, Abaddon learns of Cawl's survival and the potential threat he poses. To quash this emerging danger, he dispatches a portion of his Black Fleet to invade Ultramar.

The Celestinian Crusade arrives at Macragge during this turmoil, where they join forces with the Ultramarines to repel the Chaos invasion. Cawl reveals that he possesses the means to revive Primarch Roboute Guilliman, whose return could change the tide of the conflict.

In a desperate final stand, as the Black Legion storms the Temple of Correction, Yvraine invokes the power of Ynnead. With Cawl's technology and the god's intervention, Guilliman is resurrected, his fury driving back the Chaos attackers and revitalizing the Imperial forces.

Guilliman's Revival

With Guilliman's return, the fate of Ultramar shifts dramatically. He is crowned the rightful leader of the Ultramarines, and his strategic brilliance leads to the expulsion of Chaos from Macragge within months.

However, the resurrected Primarch grapples with the grim reality of the Imperium's current state--one defined by tyranny and ignorance. Finding renewed hope, Guilliman resolves to journey to Terra to consult with the Emperor and forge a path forward for humanity.

Thus begins the Terran Crusade, a pivotal chapter in the ongoing saga of the Imperium of Man.

In the vast voidship graveyard on Luna, Primarch Roboute Guilliman leads his Terran Crusade forces against Magnus the Red and his Thousand Sons, following the chaotic events of the 13th Black Crusade. Gathering Imperial forces from across the galaxy, Guilliman sets sail from Macragge, leaving the Ultramarines under Marneus Calgar's command. As his fleet traverses the turbulent Warp near the Maelstrom, they are ambushed by Magnus, who invokes a powerful sorcerous ritual, trapping the Terran Crusade within the depths of the Warp.

Time in the Warp stretches and warps reality, as the fleet drifts from one Daemon World to another, suffering continuous assaults from Chaos forces. Meanwhile, Guilliman grapples with a growing sense of guilt and frustration as their escape seems impossible. Amidst the chaos, hope arrives in the form of a psychic message from Eldrad Ulthran, the Asuryani Farseer, providing vital coordinates to navigate through the tumult.

Emerging from the Warp, the battered Crusade encounters another Chaos fleet--the Red Corsairs, commanded by the Lord of Change, Kairos Fateweaver. As the Imperial forces are besieged, Kairos employs his dark powers to ensnare Guilliman in chains woven from his own guilt, forcing the fleet to surrender. They are brought to a hidden Blackstone Fortress, where they face a grim fate until the intervention of the Harlequins, led by Sylandri Veilwalker and the enigmatic Cypher.

In exchange for a promise to present Cypher to the Emperor, the Harlequins liberate Guilliman and his followers, offering a path back to Terra through the Webway. Fighting through the fortress, they confront Skarbrand, a Bloodthirster of Khorne, whom Guilliman ultimately defeats. They journey through the Webway only to find Magnus and his Thousand Sons awaiting them in the Labyrinth Dimension.

As the forces of Chaos converge, Guilliman prepares to defend Terra. With the aid of the Harlequins, the Sisters of Silence, and the Imperial Fists, they engage the Thousand Sons in a fierce battle, ultimately banishing Magnus and sealing the Webway portal to prevent future incursions. Guilliman, triumphant yet deeply affected by his encounter with the Emperor, returns to the Imperial Palace, where he meets his father for the first time in ten millennia.

In a profound communion, Guilliman senses the coldness that now envelops the Emperor, realizing the toll of suffering on his father. Despite this, he declares his renewed commitment to the Imperium, assuming the mantle of Lord Commander once again. He vows to assemble the mightiest forces since the Great Crusade, igniting the Era Indomitus.

Indomitus Crusade

Deep beneath Mars, Roboute Guilliman and Archmagos Belisarius Cawl oversee the culmination of a decade-long endeavor: the creation of the Primaris Space Marines. Drawing upon the genetic templates of the original Space Marines, Cawl crafts these new warriors, physically superior and equipped with advanced armament, including the Mark X Tacticus Pattern Power Armour and the new Redemptor Dreadnoughts. As the Indomitus Crusade launches to reclaim the Imperium, the Primaris Marines join their ranks, with many existing Chapters welcoming them while others remain wary.

Before the crusade can fully commence, Guilliman must defend Terra once more from Khorne's forces during the Battle of Lion's Gate. The daemonic legions threaten the Imperial Palace, but under Guilliman's leadership, the combined forces of the Adeptus Custodes, Sisters of Silence, and Primaris Marines repel the assault. Following this victory, Guilliman assembles the Indomitus Crusade, marking a new era of hope.

With a vast fleet composed of various Imperial forces, including the newly founded Primaris Chapters, Guilliman embarks on a campaign to liberate beleaguered worlds. Among his first victories is Baal, where he aids the Blood Angels against Hive Fleet Leviathan. He names Dante as the Lord Regent of the Imperium Nihilus, tasking him with reclaiming lost territories.

After twelve years, the crusade reaches a pivotal moment at the Battle of Raukos, where Guilliman declares the Imperium Sanctus stabilized. His attention then shifts to Ultramar, where the forces of Nurgle launch an invasion amidst the Plague Wars, aiming to corrupt and conquer the Primarch's realm.

As the Great Rift fractures the Imperium, Ultramar faces relentless assaults from Nurgle's forces, led by Mortarion and his Death Guard. The invasion escalates, targeting key systems like Iax and Espandor. Mortarion's forces seek to solidify their grip on Ultramar, but Guilliman, now the Lord Commander, mobilizes to confront the threat.

After the Battle of Raukos, Guilliman leads an assault on the Espandor System, liberating it from the grip of Chaos and destroying Mortarion's Plague Engines. With renewed vigor, he reorganizes the Ultramarines and their allies, reestablishing the Tetrarch Council to expand Ultramar's borders and strengthen its defenses.

The conflict culminates in a massive armored clash on Parmenio, where Guilliman faces off against the forces of Nurgle. With strategic brilliance and sheer force, he slays the Great Unclean One Qaramas, securing a significant victory for the Imperium.

As the tide of war shifts, Guilliman's relentless pursuit of victory against Chaos heralds a new chapter in the Imperium's struggle for survival, as the echoes of the Indomitus Crusade continue to resonate throughout the galaxy.
