General Introduction

As the title suggests, I am going to rank the yordles based on their power and what it is described in the lore of League of Legends, so it is not going to keep count on any in-game stats about them. And this is mostly my opinion, therefore my ranking of yordles, from what I could understand about each one of them. Of course, I may be very wrong for some of them, that's why I am waiting to see your opinion in the comments, feel free to correct me if I say something too weird for you. I'm going to present them by power in an ascending order, so let's go with the first one.

Yordle rankings

Ziggs

Ziggs possesses a natural talent for tinkering, a quality quite uncommon among his fellow yordle scientists, owing to his inherently chaotic and hyperactive nature. His dream was to become an esteemed inventor in the same league as Heimerdinger, and he pursued this goal with fervor. Ziggs threw himself into ambitious projects with manic enthusiasm, drawing inspiration from both his explosive failures and groundbreaking discoveries. But after some long years working behind Heimerdinger, he realized that he's losing his time if he doesn't work for what he wishes, so he went to Zaun, trying to pursue the career of his dreams, in which he is allowed to use as many explosives as possible. And because it was mentioned, I think Heimerdinger is the next one in this list.

Heimerdinger

An ingenious but quirky yordle scientist by the name of Professor Cecil B. Heimerdinger stands as one of Piltover's most imaginative and respected creators. With an unyielding dedication to his work that borders on neurotic fixation, he finds his passion in unraveling the most enigmatic mysteries of the universe. Despite the seemingly cryptic and specialized nature of his ideas, Heimerdinger has been responsible for engineering some of Piltover's most awe-inspiring, and equally dangerous, contraptions. His ceaseless tinkering with his inventions reflects his unending pursuit of enhancing their effectiveness to the utmost degree.

You've seen that the yordles presented so far are very good at tinkering, which is a brilliant skill that can help entire armies win wars, but in terms of fighting, a one-to-one battle, one needs more than tinkering to win. That's why, above these two I think it's Corki.

Corki

The yordle pilot Corki loves two things above all others: flying, and his glamorous mustache... though not necessarily in that order. After leaving Bandle City, he settled in Piltover and fell in love with the wondrous machines he found there. He dedicated himself to the development of flying contraptions, leading an aerial defense force of seasoned veterans known as the Screaming Yipsnakes. Calm under fire, Corki patrols the skies around his adopted home, and has never encountered a problem that a good missile barrage couldn't solve.

So, Corki has the ability to build structures like airplanes while at the same time he loves to act. The battle plane is a very good thing to use while fighting in the air, but when it comes to fighting on the ground it can become useless, that's why a mech-suit it's more balanced, helping you both on the ground and above it. So, the next one would be Rumble.

Rumble

Even within the yordle community, Rumble had always been the smallest and most easily overlooked. Consequently, he became accustomed to enduring bullying and developed a resilient, resourceful nature to survive. His quick temper and unwavering determination to settle scores with those who crossed him made him somewhat of a recluse, but he embraced it. Rumble found solace in tinkering and preferred the companionship of gadgets, often found rummaging through the junkyard.

He is very mad at Heimerdinger and the yordles that went to Piltover and Zaun, considering them traitors to Bandle City, instead of using their abilities to help their communities they chose to leave. Being a very skilled tinkerer himself, Rumble chose to use his skills to help yordles and everyone that is poorly treated, being some sort of a bully punisher. He loves to act for good, and he also loves the next yordle, Tristana.

Tristana

While numerous yordles dedicate their energy to exploration, innovation, or simply causing trouble, Tristana's inspiration always stemmed from the heroic exploits of mighty warriors. She was well-versed in the tales of Runeterra, its factions, and its conflicts, and she firmly believed that her kin could also rise to legendary status. Stepping into the world for the very first time, she grasped her reliable cannon, Boomer, and now charges into battle with unwavering courage and a hopeful spirit.

Using her weapon, Tristana won battles that were very hard to win otherwise, even defeating Draven and another noxian woman in an encounter they had. After she saw one of their precious magical trees being attacked and destroyed by a powerful mage, Tristana vowed this will never happen again so she became a well disciplined soldier, inspiring others to join her.

Norra

We move a little bit from tinkering and doing physical damage to a more mysterious and mist surrounded champion (when it comes to the lore), and we're talking now about Norra. She is the master of Yuumi and she owns the Book of Thresholds, a very powerful artifact that allows her to teleport anywhere in the world. She is also able to use the portals to summon powerful beasts from various places of Runeterra, which proves to be a very powerful skill in a battle. And when it comes to legendary artifacts, of course we must think about the hammer of Orlon, founder of Demacia, which is currently wielded by Poppy.

Poppy

Legend tells of a hero who possesses the exclusive ability to unlock the full potential of the hammer and lead Demacia to unparalleled greatness. Poppy, with her relentless pursuit, has scoured every corner of the kingdom in search of this mythical figure, but her efforts have yielded no results. Whenever she attempted to pass on the hammer to a potential hero, the outcomes were catastrophic, often resulting in the warrior's demise. Most individuals would have long abandoned such a daunting task, but Poppy is no ordinary person; she possesses an extraordinary combination of determination and courage that sets her apart as an indomitable heroine.

Too bad Orlon died without explicitly telling her that she is the hero he mentioned, she is the only one worthy of carrying the hammer, because she is humble enough to do so and will not use it to her doom. Imagine giving the hammer to the next yordle, that would be a serious problem for everyone then, because we're talking about Kled.

Kled

Kled, a yordle of indomitable spirit and unapologetic obstinacy, personifies the audacious valor that defines Noxus. He stands as an icon, revered by the empire's soldiers, yet eyed warily by its officers, and openly despised by the nobility. Numerous tales boast that Kled has plunged headfirst into every legion campaign, donned every conceivable military rank through dubious means, and never once yielded in the face of a confrontation. While the veracity of these claims often hangs in the balance, one aspect of his legend remains unequivocal: astride his steadfast but erratic mount, Skaarl, Kled charges onto the battlefield, driven by a fervent desire to safeguard what's rightfully his and claim whatever spoils he can seize.

So, probably the most bloodthirsty yordle out there, Kled became a legend to be feared by his enemies or everyone that's trying to trespass his territories. But he kills quickly, hitting hard, preferably taking his enemies down with one blow, which is still a better way to be killed rather than meeting the next yordle, Teemo.

Teemo

Despite facing the most perilous and intimidating challenges, Teemo fearlessly explores the world with limitless enthusiasm and an ever-cheerful demeanor. This yordle possesses an unshakable moral compass and finds great satisfaction in adhering to the principles of the Bandle Scout's Code, occasionally to the point where he overlooks the wider repercussions of his actions. While there may be debates about the Scouts' validity, one undeniable fact remains: Teemo's unwavering dedication is not to be underestimated.

His cute face is the most dangerous thing about him, making one think that he can approach or even take him down quickly, not knowing the poisons he uses and how he enjoys watching his enemies die in unimaginable pain. But if we jump in the waters, we are going to meet someone more powerful than Teemo.

Fizz

Fizz is an amphibious yordle, who dwells among the reefs surrounding Bilgewater. He often retrieves and returns the tithes cast into the sea by superstitious captains, but even the saltiest of sailors know better than to cross him, for many are the tales of those who have underestimated this slippery character. Often mistaken for some manner of capricious ocean spirit, he seems able to command the beasts of the deep, and delights in confounding his allies and enemies alike.

In ages past, Fizz lived with underwater civilizations that were very powerful, but after a very tragic incident, those societies have disappeared, leaving Fizz alone for ages, waking up in Bilgewater, ready to explore and play with the pirates around it. There is another yordle that used to live in a different world and woke up to this new one, but he is less eager to meet humans, as it was once the enemies of his people.

Gnar

Before the ice had given the Freljord its name, there existed a land brimming with wonder, that is, if one could see the world through the eyes of Gnar. A young yordle with boundless energy, Gnar and others like him lived openly among the hardy tribes of the northlands. Though barely big enough to leave footprints in the snow, his temper rivaled that of beasts ten times his size, and he would erupt with a babble of curses the moment anything went amiss. For this reason, he felt more kinship with the greater and wiser creatures, who kept their distance from mortals. To Gnar, they looked like overgrown, white-furred yordles... and that was good enough for him.

But his life in paradise is long gone, following an event that involved Lissandra and the void, he has fallen to a deep sleep after transforming into a beast and going on a rampage that killed everyone who threatened his people. He woke up alone, in a new Freljord, covered all in ice. But when it comes to loneliness, no one can beat our next yordle, Amumu.

Amumu

The sad mummy, and his story is one of sorrow and cursed fate. The legends of Shurima whisper of a once-great ruling family, struck down by a relentless disease. But within the shadows of their fall, a young child named Amumu clung to hope amidst the despair. Other refer to Amumu as being the sole yordle emperor of Shurima, that was eventually struck down by this curse.

A curse, cast in the throes of grief, bound him to eternal suffering and loneliness. His touch became deadly, and he wandered the desert, yearning for companionship, a glimmer of kindness, or perhaps redemption.

While he was still a human, it is said that Nasus met Amumu and got himself so sick that if the priests did not let him ascend, then he would have died. So, one can imagine that against Amumu it is impossible to fight while staying close to him. Sadly, he did not choose to be alone, he is desperately looking for friends, but we can't say the same think about Vex.

Vex

Deep within the eerie heart of the Shadow Isles, a solitary yordle plods through the ethereal mist, finding solace in its own despondency. Possessing an endless wellspring of teenage angst and a potent shadowy companion, Vex has crafted her own realm of darkness, far removed from the nauseating cheer of the "ordinary" realm. While lacking ambition, she swiftly quashes any traces of vibrancy and joy, halting all potential intruders with her mystical aura of melancholy.

Vex teamed with one of the greatest villains from Runeterra, Viego. But she did not seek power, she only wanted a grim world in which she can sadly live forever. We can see how powerful she was, because after Vex decided to not work together with Viego, he soon fell, leaving Vex alone on her favorite island, playing with the ghosts and enjoying loneliness.

Kennen

Beyond merely being Ionian's lightning-fast enforcer, Kennen stands as the sole yordle within the Kinkou. Despite his diminutive, furry form, he embraces challenges with unbridled zeal, unleashing a cyclone of shurikens and unparalleled eagerness against any adversary. In partnership with his mentor Shen, Kennen safeguards the spirit realm, harnessing the might of electrifying energy to swiftly vanquish his foes.

So, when it comes to unimaginable speed, Kennen is the best example we can think of. Being also able to cast lightning, he can defeat dozens of soldiers at once, being ready to defend Ionia at any time. I think there are only two yordles that can defeat him, and one of them is the yordle mage named Lulu.

Lulu

She has gained fame for her ability to create surreal illusions and imaginative beings. As she travels through Runeterra, she is accompanied by her fairy friend, Pix. Lulu possesses the power to manipulate reality as she pleases, distorting the very fabric of the world and challenging the limitations of the ordinary, physical domain. While some may perceive her magic as unconventional or even hazardous, Lulu holds the belief that adding a bit of enchantment to life is something everyone could benefit from.

From her adventures through Runeterra, we have seen how powerful she is, in one story it is mentioned how Lulu changed all the weapons in the hand of two tribes ready to fight, into flowers, just for fun. She also lured some childrens in the forest just to turn them into toadstools, the effect lasting only for a few days though. She is the only yordle that can go to the Glade, an even more mysterious place than Bandle City, with magical powers and things that are defying the laws of reality. It is very good that she's not seeking to use her powers to be evil, but we can't say the same about our next and most powerful yordle from Runeterra, Veigar.

Veigar

In the realm of Bandle City, an ardent yordle sorcerer named Veigar has delved into mystical powers that few dare to explore. Originally, he was a free-spirited being, driven by an insatiable curiosity to unravel the celestial magic practiced by mortals. However, his destiny took a dark twist when he found himself incarcerated within the foreboding walls of the Immortal Bastion. Now, Veigar stands as a tenacious wielder of the formidable power of the celestial spheres, a force many underestimate. Despite his self-proclaimed evil persona, there exist those who doubt the true nature of his motives... He pretends to be evil, after what Mordekaiser did to him for so many years, he is now willingly acting in the name of evil, but things are not quite like that, every time he thought he's doing something just to be evil, he actually did something good in return, like slaying powerful dark mages that were tyrants for the people in their communities. Communities that are now eager to be ruled by this new master of evil, as they have observed he is only seeking knowledge and kills only truly evil people.
