The Chronicle
Quinn, a ranger-knight of Demacia, braves the dangers of enemy territory alongside her legendary eagle, Valor. Bound by an unbreakable connection, the pair strike with lethal precision, their enemies often realizing too late that they face two of Demacia's greatest heroes.
Quinn and her twin brother, Caleb, grew up in Uwendale, a mountain hamlet nestled in Demacia's northeastern hinterlands. The village, a community of hunters and farmers, thrived under the protection of skilled mountain rangers who stood vigilant against the beasts descending from the high peaks. Raised on tales of honor and righteousness, the twins shared an unshakable bond, dreaming of serving their homeland.
As children, they witnessed the grandeur of King Jarvan III's visit to Uwendale during his inspection of the East Wall, Demacia's barrier against the untamed lands beyond. Hoisted on her father's shoulders, Quinn marveled at the sunsteel-clad warriors. The sight ignited the siblings' dream of knighthood, and their games saw them as heroic defenders of Demacia, battling monsters, savage Freljordians, or treacherous Noxians.
Under their mother's tutelage--a skilled ranger of the village--Quinn and Caleb honed their talents in the wilds surrounding Uwendale. She taught them to track, survive, and fight. Together, they became a formidable team: Quinn with her sharp eye and bow, Caleb with his hunting spear and knack for drawing out their prey. Their bond strengthened with each hunt, forging a partnership that would prepare Quinn for the battles to come.
One fateful excursion into the northern mountains of Uwendale turned tragic when Quinn and Caleb encountered a hunting party of Buvelle nobles pursuing a giant tuskvore. This monstrous predator, with its thick hide, razor-sharp horns, and ferocious nature, had been gravely wounded by the nobles but was far from subdued. The enraged beast turned on them, slaughtering several young scions of the family.
Quinn and Caleb intervened without hesitation, their arrows striking true as they drove the tuskvore away. But in the chaos, Caleb gave his life to protect the Buvelle matriarch, falling to the creature's deadly horns. The nobles, shaken and grateful, helped Quinn bury her brother before retreating with their own dead to mourn.
Caleb's death shattered Quinn. Their shared dream of knighthood now felt empty, and the vibrant spirit that once fueled her seemed to fade. She continued to serve her village out of duty, but her heart was no longer in it. The sharp skills she and Caleb had perfected dulled--her aim faltered, tracks went unnoticed, and her once-bright presence dimmed to silence.
Grief consumed her, and she found herself returning often to Caleb's grave at the battle's site. There, in the solitude of the mountain clearing, she relived the loss again and again. A year after his death, as she stood lost in sorrow, the familiar sound of heavy footfalls went unnoticed. The tuskvore had returned, crowned by the broken arrows she and Caleb had loosed in their desperate fight.
The tuskvore charged, and Quinn fought desperately, firing arrow after arrow at the enraged beast. But her aim faltered, and its thick hide deflected her attacks. Exhausted, she stumbled, and the creature bore down on her. She dived out of its path, but not fast enough--its horn tore a deep wound from her hip to her collarbone. Bleeding and unable to rise, Quinn lay helpless as the tuskvore circled for the kill.
In that moment, as Quinn faced death, a blur of blue streaked through the air. An Azurite Eagle, its brilliant feathers gleaming, swooped down, slashing its talons across the beast's face. This magnificent bird, believed long extinct and said to have inspired Demacia's winged emblem, attacked with relentless fury. Again and again, the eagle dived, tearing into the tuskvore's flesh even as the beast's horns gouged its body and shredded its wings.

Quinn steadied her breathing, her hand trembling as she nocked her final arrow. The tuskvore bellowed in rage and charged. With a final effort, Quinn loosed the arrow, snapping her bowstave from the force. The arrow flew true, piercing the beast's gaping mouth and driving deep into its brain. The massive creature collapsed, its lifeless body carving a furrow in the earth before her. Quinn exhaled a shuddering breath, the battle finally over.
Dragging herself to the fallen eagle, Quinn found it gravely wounded, its wing broken, but in its eyes, she saw a spark of kinship and determination. Gently, she bound its injuries and returned to Uwendale, carrying the tuskvore's horns as proof of their victory. The eagle perched on her shoulder the entire way, refusing to leave her side.
She named the bird Valor and nursed him back to health, their bond growing with each passing day. Rekindled by this partnership, Quinn's resolve returned. With her father's help, she forged a weapon from the tuskvore's horns: a finely crafted repeater crossbow, capable of unleashing multiple bolts with a single pull of the trigger. Together with Valor, Quinn set her sights once more on serving Demacia, their partnership destined to become legendary.
With her parents' blessing, Quinn journeyed with Valor to the Demacian capital, seeking to join the ranks of the army as a ranger-knight. Unlike others, she lacked formal military training, but her unmatched skill and unyielding determination saw her easily surpass every test set by the seasoned ranger-knights.
Despite her success, the drill-masters hesitated. A lone hunter with an eagle did not seem to fit within the strict and orderly structure of Demacia's military. They were prepared to deny her petition when Lady Lestara Buvelle, whose life Caleb had saved, stepped forward. She vouched for Quinn's courage and exceptional abilities, ensuring her acceptance into the army.
Quinn excelled as a ranger-knight, though her independent nature often clashed with the army's rigid hierarchy and rules. Her comrades respected her prowess but viewed her as a maverick, a soldier who thrived outside the confines of established orders. She avoided city life, choosing instead to live in the wilderness, where her talents could flourish. Her unparalleled success in uncovering threats and neutralizing hidden enemies earned her an uncommon degree of freedom within the otherwise disciplined ranks.
Her skills were tested again when a Noxian assassin killed the commander of Castle Jandelle during the Day of Lost Light. The assassin eluded entire battalions dispatched to capture him, but Quinn and Valor tracked him through a relentless night of traps, ambushes, and counterattacks. By morning, the assassin was dead, his blade delivered back to the castle as proof. This triumph earned Quinn the title "Demacia's Wings."
True to her nature, Quinn left Jandelle shortly after her commendation, returning to the wilds with Valor. Since then, she has ventured to the frozen expanses of the Freljord and into the heart of the Noxian empire, braving perilous missions to secure intelligence critical to Demacia's defense. Though her methods remain unconventional and defy the codified structure of the military, Quinn and Valor extraordinary brilliance in the field is beyond question.
